National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI)
On Friday, May 2, 2008 the National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI) held its Latina Empowerment Conference at El Paso, TX. Attendees enjoyed a morning of professional and leadership development, networking and inspiring success stories. Workshops included: “Preparing Latinas for Leadership Positions – NHLI,” “The Seven Demands of Leadership - Gallup Organization,” “Latinas Sharing Their Secrets of Success.”

Association of Naval Services Officers (ANSO)
The 2008 ANSO Annual Symposium, a professional development and training opportunity on topics such as leadership, career development, current initiatives affecting Hispanics, and other subjects was held April 28, 2008 in Virginia Beach, VA. Both high-ranking military speakers and civilian offered first-hand advice to attendees at this week-long conference.

Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR)
This year, the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility’s (HACR) held its 16th Annual Symposium on April 28-29, 2008 in New York. Senior Executives from the nation’s top corporations convened at the second annual HACR CEO Roundtable to share perspectives on this year’s theme, “The Power of Hispanic Inclusion.”
