On Thursday, December 12, LATINA Style Announces the Top 5 LATINA Executives of the Year for 2013: Ana Gabriela Pinczuk Selected as LATINA Executive of the Year Washington, D.C., December 12, 2013- LATINA Style Inc. announces Ms. Ana Gabriela Pinczuk, Senior Vice President, Services Transformation at Cisco Systems, as the LATINA Style Executive for 2013.
Now in its 5th consecutive year, the LATINA Style Executive of the Year program honors influential Latinas selected by their peers, as true leaders and examples for the Hispanic community and for the professional women in the U.S.
The top five Latinas demonstrate excellence in leadership, commitment to the community, impact on the company’s bottom line and create an environment where associates are encouraged to always look for the next big opportunity. “Ms. Pinczuk is a remarkable example of what Latinas can achieve in the corporate arena,” said Robert E. Bard, president & CEO of LATINA Style Inc. “Her commitment to success, work ethic, and relentless pursuit of excellence has made her a role model for not only Latinas but to all who choose a professional career.”
Fleeing to the United States from Argentina, when she was thirteen years old, Ms. Pinczuk worked hard to overcome and understand the new culture and language. Her dedication led her to receive a full scholarship to Cornell University where she studied engineering as an undergraduate and mechanical engineering in graduate school. She pursued a Masters of Technology Management from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and a Master of Science in Software Management from Carnegie Mellon University. This drive and determination led her to excel and lead in several of the world’s leading high tech companies. At Cisco Systems, she has been active in recruiting and training the next generation of diverse leaders; her innovation and leadership skills has led her and her team to transform Cisco’s customer loyalty, profit and employee satisfaction. In addition to the top Latina executive of the year selected, LATINA Style also takes pride in honoring four additional Latinas that radiate merit and leadership at the company they work for.
They are: Carmen Nava, Senior Vice President-Customer Experience, AT&T Home Solutions, AT&T ; Bilda Acuña, Assistant Vice President of Hispanic Markets, Unum; Doris B. González, Director, IBM Corporate Citizenship for the Americas, IBM; and Maria Haynes, Director Regional Logistics, Northeast Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM Enterprise). Additionally, this year there are two honorable mentions: Mariana Fagnilli, Latina America Policy Lead, Global Regulatory Policy & Intelligence, Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson; and Elisa Villanueva Beard, Co-CEO, Teach for America. These women demonstrate that success is not only a personal achievement, but also create opportunities for those around them and for future professionals.
