When it comes to business, Latinas are in it for the long haul and Thursday, October 22 was no exception as more than 300 successful and determined Latina business owners attended the New Jersey LATINA Style Business Series at the Marriot Newark Liberty International Airport Hotel.

The New York-New Jersey venue was a success, 2009 was the 11th annual tour helping Latina business entrepreneurs all over the United States.
The series started as “just a little networking event we do in L.A.,” explained Robert Bard, CEO of LATINA Style magazine. In the last decade, 75,000 Latinas have gone through the program which includes tips on business plans, accessing capital to start or build a business, the essentials of a successful business and making a business “green”.

The roster of successful entrepreneurs and businesswomen “showed that Latinas can reach the highest level,” said Bard. Latina businesses are “the fastest growing segment of the small business community, 600,000 Latina business owners generate $80 billion in revenues!”
