National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA).
On May 4-7, the National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA) held its 21st Annual Conference “Trabajando Juntos: Integrated Healthcare for Hispanics” at the Gaylord National Resort. Established in 1994 in Washington, D.C., NHMA, a non-profit association representing the interests of 50,000 licensed Hispanic physicians in the United States is dedicated to empowering Hispanic physicians to be leaders who will help eliminate health disparities and improve the health of Hispanics. NHMA brought together Hispanic health care professionals, industry representatives, and policymakers from across the nation to share their multi-disciplinary experiences in improving health care delivery for Hispanics.

On April 19 – 21, Accenture held its invitation-only program, Maximizing Performance: Developing High Performing Women (DHPW) and Maximizing Performance: Women and Client Centricity (WCC), in India.
Providing an interactive classroom learning experience which equips and empowers women with the skills and strategies to accelerate their career growth, 50 women from around APAC (Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, China, Japan and India), including Senior Women leaders – Managing Director women from China, Indonesia, India, Philippines and U.S., participated. Accenture women leaders shared practical guidance and insights with participants via a collaborative engaging environment which promotes the informal exchange of ideas amongst participants.
Maximizing Performance: Developing High Performing Women (DHPW) and Maximizing Performance: Women and Client Centricity (WCC) was created in 2003 and 2009, respectively. This program provides women with tools and skills to become more client-centric leaders and effective managers of people and our business. It also provides opportunities to engage in networking and discussions to help navigate their careers.
The Women and Client Centricity and Developing High Performing Women are an annual, invitation-only comprehensive and interactive learning experience aimed at giving high-performing executive women across all geographies the information, tools, practice opportunities, and insights to further develop as client centric leaders and effective manager of leaders and our business. Through interactive group sessions, panel discussions, roundtables and networking events women have an opportunity to collaborate with senior leaders and peers across various countries. By sharing insights, discussing issues and solutions, and exploring bold ideas, women are inspired and learn from each other’s strengths and experiences.
To date, Accenture has impacted 1,400 high potential women at Accenture with the Maximizing Performance: Women and Client Centricity program and more than 3,500 with Maximizing Performance: Developing High Performing Women.
