The Latino Coalition 2017 Policy Summit

Representing Hispanic-owned small businesses and the 50-million-strong Hispanic consumer market, the Latino Coalition held its Policy Summit themed “Making Small Business Great Again” on March 9th in Washington D.C. The Summit brought together elected officials, new administration appointees and Hispanic business leaders and influencers from across the country, including representatives from TLC’s 80-plus strategic partners.

United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC)

On March 14-16, the USHCC held its Legislative Summit themed “America’s Business Future” in the nation’s capital. The Summit offered attendees an opportunity to meet, engage and join business leaders, corporate executives, legislative and policy experts, as well as elected and appointed government officials. Summit attendees also took advantage of networking events, workshops, roundtable discussions, and procurement matchmaking.

USHCC hosted Ivanka Trump for a roundtable discussion with Hispanic women business owners.

Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC)

On April 5-7 the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) held its first of three 2017 HITEC Leadership Summits at the JCPenney headquarters in Plano, TX. Nearly 400 IT business executives and senior leaders gathered at this three-day event hosted by JCPenney. Featuring a lineup of more than 40 top technology trendsetters from across the country, the event closed with an awards luncheon recognizing the top 50 most influential and notable IT professionals in Latin America/Ibero-America, called the HITEC 50.

The Leadership Summit kicked off with the HITEC Women’s Breakfast Series sponsored by Accenture and hosted by JCPenney. The breakfast was led by Nellie Borrero, Global Inclusion and Diversity Managing Director, Accenture and Rocio Lopez, IT Executive, Accenture.
