Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR)
The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR), an advocacy organization leading the charge in promoting Hispanic inclusion in Corporate America, honored 29 of the nation’s most outstanding young corporate executives at the 2010 HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers™ (YHCA) Program. The awards reception was held at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington, D.C. on October 27. HACR YHCA candidates from across the nation are nominated by their respective companies and selected after careful review of their accomplishments, established leadership qualities, industry expertise, education, and employment experience, as well as their commitment to their communities. Candidates are between the ages of 25-40, of Hispanic heritage, and are employed by a Fortune 500 or HACR corporate member company.

National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI)
The National Hispana Leadership Institute held its 2010 Executive Leadership Training Conference and Mujer Awards November 4-5 at the Hyatt Regency in Miami, FL. The event brought together nearly 600 Latinas for two days of cutting-edge leadership and professional development; networking; and inspirational keynotes. Workshops facilitated by top-level Latinas from across the country ranged from a variety of professional development topics to the most current subjects such as the economy, health, finances, politics, business, leadership, and more. In addition, the conference features prominent Latina authors; Latina artists; outstanding speakers; health and wellness fairs; career recruitment fairs; and provides exhibit opportunities to companies and organizations.

Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF)
On September 29, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) and sponsors presented the 24th Annual Hispanic Heritage Awards at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC. With the support of Diamond Sponsor ExxonMobil, HHF has carried on the rich tradition of honoring Latino leaders in various categories during a celebration of cultural pride, accomplishment and promise. Latino Leaders Network (LLN)
On Tuesday, November 16 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez (D-NY), Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, was presented with the Nambe Eagle Leadership Award for outstanding contributions to the Latino community and our country during the Latino Leaders Luncheon Series™, hosted by the Latino Leaders Network (LLN). Additional speakers for the program included: former New York Secretary of State Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez, now the Executive Vice President for Multicultural Markets and Engagement at the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP); Rafael A. Fantauzzi, President and CEO of the National Puerto Rican Coalition (NPRC); Michelle Minguez Moore, Executive Director of LLN; and Mickey Ibarra, LLN Founder & Chairman. The quarterly event provides a platform for prominent Latino leaders to share their personal story of obstacles overcomed to achieve success.
